For Aung, the best part of his job is meeting people and getting to know them. He has an abundance of clients-turned-friends who value his friendship as much as his style. Lucky for them, his style is also pretty great!
Aung was born in Burma (Myanmar) and moved to Singapore when he was 10 to complete his primary and secondary schooling. It was also here that Aung played guitar in a band, but he tends to feign memory loss of this when asked about it! At 18, he moved to London and studied Information Technology at the University of Greenwich, but as Aung will acknowledge, today he “still doesn’t know how to use a computer”.
At 20, Aung started his fashion career in London with Cecil Gee, getting his first taste of luxury men’s clothing while working with labels like Brioni, Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld, Canali and Corneliani to name a few. He was hired as a Stockroom boy and within one year advanced to be their youngest Store Manager to date. Aung continued working for Cecil Gee as part of the Moss Bros Group for almost 20years.
In 2003, he moved to Australia with his 3 favourite girls – wife Ana, and daughters Rachel and Katie. Aung was ready to find a new job in the luxury sector but found Brisbane was lacking opportunities. This is when he met Mitch. Aung was keen to work with Mitch however he could only offer Aung a casual position at the time. Over the next 8 years they kept in touch, but the timing was never quite right, and meanwhile Aung managed the Country Road Brisbane Cluster, Louis Vuitton, and Hugo Boss. When Hugo Boss Franchise was reclaimed by Hugo Boss, Mitch and Aung’s stars finally aligned, and he started with Mitchell Ogilvie Menswear in January of 2011.
When Aung isn’t at work, or travelling near and far to see clients, he enjoys his family time, cooking up gourmet feasts, playing many a game of golf, and following the English Premiere League football. With a gin & tonic in hand? Even better.
Aung speaks English and Burmese, and he tries his best at Italian.

Since he was a young boy, Vinny has always tried to look his best. His dad was a shoe designer – always focusing on fine details and great craftsmanship – and he is Vinny’s style icon.
When he grew older and travelled, he became more aware of clothing as a form of self-expression. Vinny believes that you look your best when you feel your best, so when styling his clients, he curates garments to fit their body, lifestyle and self-vision. Vinny says “At that moment, despite the busy world – dressing my client is my only focus.”
Vinny is currently studying a Master of Business Administration but has an appetite for photography which he puts to good use on our Instagram account. He takes pleasure in creating special photos or videos that will spark emotion in the beneficiary. When in conversation with Vinny his zest for life and beauty is palpable and he can’t help but put you in a good mood!
Vinny speaks English and Vietnamese.

Though it's rare to see Amy in the store, it doesn't mean she isn't hard at work. Amy has been working in fashion retail since she was 18, originally in the Country Road stockroom before finding her way here. Amy looks after all our back of house operations from the office upstairs. Her love of organisation and attention to detail means she is happy to stay behind the scenes, but we let her out sometimes!
Amy's passions in life are her nieces, Survivor, and recycling – so don't let her see you put your bottle into the wrong bin! She loves catching up with friends but unfortunately a lot of them are scattered inAustralia and Europe, which means Amy likes to travel.
As Queen of conquering jetlag, make sure you ask her how to knock it on its head.
Amy celebrated 10 years with Mitchell Ogilvie in 2018 and we surprised her with a trip to Italy to meet the suppliers that she emails daily. Amy looks forward to her 20 year and 30 year trips...
