Our Story

A Legacy of Luxury
Menswear, Born in 1981

When Mitchell Ogilvie started the store that became the menswear institution it is today, the year was 1981 and he was only 21 years old. Mitch’s vision was to build Brisbane’s finest luxury menswear emporium, catering to men of all ages, and providing a customer service experience that was incomparable.

Introducing the Australian market to premier Italian labels like Brioni, Brunello Cucinelli, and Canali, Mitch stocked the finest Italian suits, shirts, and accessories he could find, forging deep, long-lasting connections with generations of tailors and clothing houses on his yearly buying trips.

In 2011, Mitch welcomed business partner and fellow director Aung Lynn into the company to manage the Mitchell Ogilvie store experience and collections.

Mitch remains heavily involved in the strategic direction of the business, and still joins Aung on the annual pilgrimage to Italy to select from the next season’s designs, while catching up with old friends in fashion.
